In Rowland v Blades [2021] EWHC 2928 (Ch), the High Court allowed the claimant’s appeal in relation to the basis of the calculation of occupation rent, clarifying that loss of opportunity to enjoy a property purchased as a home for use at weekends and holidays is different to renting it from someone else for a weekend break.
